Junior Quality Analyst

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of iVendi’s award winning products is second to none. You will join a team of highly regarded software engineers, all passionate about building great user experiences. You’ll be supporting a number of award winning products within an agile working environment.
Responsibilities for the position of Junior Quality Analyst will include:
- Participating in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests
- Creation of tests – ideally up-front but on a just-in-time basis per feature if needed
- Analysing the product features, and the product as a whole, to ensure it behaves as intended
- Ensuring components and features are complete, based on the customer definition of “done”
- Executing tests and improve iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
- Raising and manage defects within our internal management system
- Managing the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix
- Collaboration in daily standups
- Using feedback from all stakeholders to expand test scenarios
- Demonstrating the ability to change direction and re-prioritise in a fast-paced team environment
- Create and maintain strong working relationships, working closely with our Business Analyst and Development team to ensure issues are progressed
Key Requirements
- A computing related/numerate degree at 2.1 (or equivalent) and above
- Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language
- Ability to communicate to colleagues and customers of varying ages and backgrounds
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills
- Must be proactive, self-motivated and accurate
- Ability to learn quickly and retain a broad range of functional knowledge about the iVendi platforms
- Be able to work as part of a team, whilst also assuming responsibility for your own work
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple on-going tasks at any given time
- Must be eager to understand new functionality, technologies and acquire new skills to enhance capability
Desirable
- To understand software testing methodologies
- Awareness or experience of automated test process’s and functions
- Knowledge of Open Source testing tools such as Selenium
- Experience of Cross browser & multiple device testing
