We seek a customer focused and highly professional IT support technician to join a great employer in the Harrogate area. The role would suit someone who has recently completed an ICT support / IT related qualification and is seeking their first opportunity. The company offer a supportive working environment, additional training as well as the opportunity to progress to in time.
You will be responsible for providing software support for a bespoke scientific package ensuring user issues are dealt with swiftly and effectively at all times , you will:
Work in a team of 6 support technicians
Support customers / users diagnosing faults and rectifying within set periods
Respond to phone based and written incidents and enquires within a timely manner
Monitor and troubleshoot all IT incidents to strict service level agreements.
Provide customer training both remotely and on site.
Undertake additional training and development
Provide out of hours support when required
Software installs and upgrades
As the IT / Software Support Technician, you will:
Ideally hold a relevant qualification in IT / ICT support or similar
Have excellent communication and customer service skills
Be keen to progress and take on additional training and responsibilities
Be patient approachable and friendly with the ability to listen
Any previous work / placement related experience within a similar environment would be of great interest but is not essential
Have excellent time management skills
Ideally hold a full driving licence
